Well it is January 20th and it is a very cold and windy day, but never the less I can't stop thinking of spring and what is just waiting for me in the next few months. I have already begun to see the first signs that the dormant lillies are breaking already.
Over the past few weeks I have been going over my photos of last years blooms, evaluating new seedlings and deciding what crosses to make this summer.
This is a seedling out of God save the queen. the color is true and even brighter in person. Almost a dayglow pink. it has a 30 inch scape and 3 way branching 6 inch blooms. i do not have any bud count though. I looks just the same after a day of 100 degree temps.
But one of the best things about this lilly is its toothy edge.
I just wanted to thank Bill Waldrop for his blog. His blog is what inspired me to set up my own.
untill tomorrow.
